~*~ Bowling @ Chevrons ~*~

Went bowling with ming ytd afternoon, it's been ages since we stepped into a bowling centre. Reach chevrons at ard 3 plus then we started our photo-taking session, snap, snap & snap! Have to wait half an hr for the bowling lane so we went to the jackpot room. Played awhile but din win, the bowling lane was ready so we went up for our bowling session. Bowling was fun! Wahaa haa. I'm a veri lousy player, kept throwing the ball into the drain & the stupid dear keep laughing & laughing. We played very fast, within 1 hr we finished 3 games and my score fer all 3 games were very terrible. Though dear dun really know hw to play but he got strike a few times. After bowling, we walked to IMM for our early dinner & then took shuttle bus home.

~*~ Career Seminar with Adam Khoo ~*~

Now there are more reasons to shop, cos GREAT SINGAPORE SALE starts ytd. Wahaa haa. I want to drag dear to go shopping with me.

Bought a long term savings plan from Prudential few days ago, actually this few weeks were in the midst of discussing the various plans with the financial advisers, Andrew & Juliana, recommened to me by ling. They were friendly ppl, so cute & so bubbly.. Bought a savings plan which i will save $100 every month for the next 25 years & then by tat time (25 years later) i'm able to get the lump sum + interest. There are another plan which he introduced to me but the min savings every month is $200 & it involves investments. Not to say tat investments are no gd but i have a very negative mind abt investment plans. Like.. investments sure gg to lose $ & things like tat but i do trust tat he is a gd adviser who gives gd advices. And at this pt of time my only focus is on savings & not investments & i think it's gd to start off with savings first rather than jumping into savings & investment straight away. I dun think anyone who sign up for savings plan for the first time would start with an investment plan first, maybe for those very adventurous ones but not for me. I prefer to take the secure route first untill i'm comfortable with investments, maybe 2 or 3 years later. Tat's y after all the dicussions i choose the savings plan over the savings cum investment plan.

This afternoon, met eileen & ling for the career seminar featuring Adam Khoo at paya lebar. We were invited to the seminar by our financial advisers & i should say the seminar was a fruitful one. Short introduction of Adam Khoo for those who don't know him: an entrepreneur, a best selling author & a trainer. An honours degree in Business Adminstration from NUS & a self-made millionarie by the age of 26. He owns & runs 3 different companies himself.

This is what i get to know from the seminar & i belong to.. OF COURSE the 95% group, i wish, hope, prefer, would like to be successful but was nv successful. Majority of the ppl belong to the 95% group, want to be successful but no action taken. But it's hard cos success does not come by chance.

5% of the ppl are committed to succeed
(They must succeed & do whatever it takes to be successful)

95% of the ppl wish, hope, prefer, would like to be successful

Ppl live for their Dreams & Goals. But from the start i dun have any golas in life, wat i wanna be 10 or 20 years down the road tat's y i'm struck in a job which i have no passion in. I need Aspirations!! It's quite scary to not know wat u are living for.. I really hope i won't stay long in my current job, i dun wan to fall into the comfort zone & then become so relucant to move on. I want to be a teacher, tat's my ambition from young. I really hope i can pass my re-take eng 'O' levels well so tat i could apply for the teacher position. Orals are in aug & written paper in nov but i feel tat time is running out & i haven't been doing much to improve my eng. Haiz..

Finally finish reading Digital Fortress, took me sooo long to finish the book. A thick book with alot of description on the characters & places. Came across this word 'Without Wax' in the book afew times & have seen ppl using it but dun know wat's the meaning of it.

' In ancient days, the spanish sculptors who made mistakes while carving expensive marble often patched their flaws with the aid of melted beeswax - 'cera' . A statue that had no flaws & required no patching was known as a 'sculpture sin cera' or a 'sculpture without wax'. The pharse eventually came to mean anything honest or true' The english word ' sincere' evolved from the spanish sin cera - 'Without Wax'
(extracted from 'Digita Fortress' - Dan Brown)

.... so Without Wax simply means 'Sincere'

It seems like everyone is gg on a holiday, bro is gg to Tioman tml while mum is gg to Beijing next week. Arrrg! When is my next holidays coming up?

~*~ iPod Mini ~*~

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Think i will be getting a iPod Mini instead of Creative Zen Neeon since iPod mini are so cheap these days, 4GB for $348.

Features:
* 4GB storage capacity
* 102 grams
* Up to 18-hour Battery Life
* Charge and sync via one simple USB 2.0 connection

But the drawbacks of iPod Mini are there's no FM Tuner & Voice Recording, no AC adapter (charging through USB connection) & FireWire cable is not included. But i can use my bro FireWire cable since it supports all iPod so the only thing i might need to get is iPod mini Dock.

Alright! Set! I'm gg to get iPod Mini when i get my next month's pay.

~*~ Creative Zen Neeon ~*~

So angry~ y guys do things always so last min & undecisive one. At first dear say he try to change his sunset bay trip to sat or mon so he can accompany me to the FairyTale Wedding Exhibition at the hotel eileen's working at. I was so hoping that he can go to the exhibition with me one, cos all couple couple there & i dun wanna go there & be light bulb. The rest of his friends can't make it on the other days so they are gg sentosa today. Sianz man! And then till the very last min they sill can't decide whether they gg ther, so i kept calling dear to ask him to cmf with his friends. All nv reply untill so last last min the say nt enough ppl & then dun wanna go le. If dun wan to go then say earlier lah!

I should be feeling happy since they are nt gg to sunset bay cos tat means dear can go to the wedding exhibition with me. BUT.. he say he dun wan to go. Idiot! Ask him to go sentosa ourselves he also dun wan. SIANZ!~ End up nt gg anywhere. Told the gals ytd tat i would be joining them even if dear's nt gg with me, but the thought of gg there & coming back alone makes me feel so sianz. Sorry gals.

Creative having sales from 27 - 29 May again. Like the New Creative Zen Neeon, $329 for 5GB. Dun know if i should get this, like the design. As for the features, there are pros & cons compared to Zen Mirco. The things i dislike abt this Zen Neeon is tat the rechargeable batt is in-built & scrolling through playlist & album is through a scroll-wheel which is located at the side of the mp3. But the design is cool!

Features:
* 5GB storage capacity
* 75g with batt
* Built in rechargeable battery (up to 16hrs of playtime)
* FM tuner, FM recording and Voice recorder
* 7 colour LED backlight
* Personalise player with Creative Stik-On

Currently reading Digital Fortress, another book by Dan Brown. Not bad! Though not as intersting as Da Vinci Code. The writer writes abt the National Security Agency (NSA) in america & a mysterious code tat was unbreakable even by an invincible code-breaking machine. Read the book urself to find out more. Some of the contents in the book are quite farmilar as they speak abt encryption & decryption of email using public-key. Get to know abt all these in one of my elective modules: Computer & Network Security.

After breakfast, went to rent bicycle & then started cycling. Actually wanted to ride those single ones but i'm very unstable so in the end we rented those double ones. Today's weather was gd & there wasn't much ppl at the park cos it's still early so we were able to ride freely. Rode all the way to bedok jetty & saw Joanne Peh & another guy (dun know wat's his name) filming there. Cycle for a while more, found a gd spot under the shady tree & & then started our photo session. Rode back to the bicycle kisok to return our bicycle & then went home le. While on the way home on the train, it started raining heavily, luckily we went cycling early if not sure spoil my mood one.

~*~ Shopping day at bugis ~*~

Had Tiramisu for breakfast this morning cos one of my colleaues made it for his gf so shun bian bring some fer us to try. So sweet hor? Seldom see guys cook for their gf one, the gal mus be very fortunate. When is dear gg to cook fer me? He wil bring me to eat gd food but he won't cook for me one. Ok.. back to the tiramisu, the taste is there but it's abit too soft le. But considered quite gd cos he got the receipe from the internet & then try to make it on his own. I wan to get the receipe from him & try to make myself as well.

Getting busier & busier at work these days. After work, went home changed into casual clothes & then immediately met dear for shopping. Had our dinner at MOS Burger first before shopping ard bugis. Pass by this newly opened shop, M Industries & bought a purple Minnie Mouse top. The top comes in black, purple & white, i like the purple one but it's the last piece so i bought it. $29 for a tee-shirt is very ex, but if i dun buy i will definately regret one. hehe~ Love it soo much!

Took this @ Bugis, the both of us were bz posing till we forgot to change the background thus all the background are the same. And it looks so messy with the background plus the borders we added in ourselves.

Going to dreamland soon, tml morning gg to wake up early & meet dear at east coast park for cycling.

~*~ New Blog-Skin FINALLY! ~*~

New Blogger Skin FINALLY! Pinky skin & new background music.. Does this song ring any bell? The song from the aust commercial, though it's a very short one but like it alot cos listening to it makes me feel so peaceful.

Red & Yellow, Pink & Green Purple & Orange.. Blue
I can sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow too~~

Just finished reading a book by Mitch Albom - The five people you meet in heaven. A short book, finished reading it in 2 days. It started off with "All endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time ... " It tells of a story about a man named Eddie who died on his 83rd birthday in a tragic accident trying to save a little girl. He awakens & find himself in heaven where his earthly life was explained by 5 ppl who were in it. These ppl may have been loved ones or distant strangers. Yet each of them changed his path for ever.

"Everything that happens, happens for a reason. You'll understand the perfect balance of life"

Dad is free today, so he helped me drilled holes for my shelve. This is my photo corner which i proudly present my photos.. haha. My mum also has one corner in the living room which she placed all our family photos as well. I need to get a few more photo frames, regret not buying the calender photo frame from ikea the other day.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
.: Picture of my ' Photo Corner' :.

Bought the 2 photoframe on the left from surfers paradise nite market. All the photo frames in the nite market were hand- made & bore meaningful wordings to remind us it was from gold coast. $12.50 AUD & $15 AUD respectively, which is abt $16 & $19 sin. Quite ex hor?

Today was boring, stayed at home the whole day. Din went out thou dear took half day leave. Surprising huh! I actually din go out on sat, tml will also be a stay-at-home day cos dear is working till evening. But i wasn't in the mood to go out as well lah cos of PMS. Ytd after work met dear at boon lay control station & went to Chinatown, main purpose was to get Water Matrix which was running out very soon, nt even enough to last till next week. But Water Matrix was out of stock, have to wait till next month before new stock comes in. Sianz! End up buying shampoo & conditioner while dear bought hair gel. Went to shop ard for awhile before having frog leg porridge for dinner & then the both of us were so tired that we took cab home.

~*~ Sudden interest in growing plants ~*~

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is the plant i've been showering with lotsa love & care every morning for the past 1 month. Pretty? This is African Violet, bought it from one of my colleague from another dept few days after i joined Inovasia & 'Nami is the name i gave to my plant.

This is my first time growing plant, at first still scared i dun know hw to take care of them. Wahaa haa.. but very easy wor, they only need sunlight, water & air-con then they will grow very fast le. Not bad wor, my plant is the only one tat has grown so much flowers compared to the rest in my office. Alot of leaves & flower buds coming out soon, will be expecting few more stalks of flowers next week.

Besides doing admin & secretary work, i'm also a gardener in the office. Taking care of my plant as well as my colleagues plants. Hehe.. it's so happy to see tat the plants u take care of blossom into flowers.

~*~ As busy as a bee! ~*~

08 May (Sun): Photo Corner in my room

Went to ikea in the late afternoon with dear. Immediately went straight to the restaurant on level 2 as i was starving. We ordered alot of food & i REALLY mean alot. 1 adult & kids Spaghetti, 1 regular swedish meatball (10 pcs), 6 pcs chicken wings & 2 drinks. Each of us have Spaghetti (of course i took the kids one), dear ate all 6 pcs of chicken wings by himself while i ate the meatballs. I couldn't finish all of them, the most i could eat was 8. Bloated!

After which we went to shop ard ikea, main purpose was to get a wall shelve which i wanna place in my room. Any idea y i wanna buy tat? I'm setting a 'Photo Corner' in my room, which i would display lotsa photos out. Ya! Mostly would be photos from gold coast. I LUV those pics man. Shall upload pics of my photo corner once my dad have finish drilling holes for the shelves.

09 May (Mon): Busy day @ work

Wow! Wow! Today was my busiest day @ work, got so many things to attend to as well as to make several trips to diff dept. But time pass very fast, before knowing it was lunchtime & then it was time to knock off le. Couldn't get in time to catch the company transport to JP, in the end took bus to JP, bought 2 tops for work from double index.

This week's is my 4th week at work & all these days i tried to avoid being in contact with this particular staff (lets name her 'Reen') from another dept cos i got to know from my colleugues tat she was a difficult person & her influence is very great. But i have to be in contact with her dept - corp marketing cos everything we needed to purchase has to go through her dept. But usually i will talk to the staffs under her instead of gg to her directly. But today got no choice, have to go directly to her.

And then she try to make things diff for me, trying to test whether i know my stuffs anot. Ask me y we need this & tat & ask me to tell her hw we go abt issuing purchase requisition & things like tat. The insulting part was to ask me to say out the procedues to one of her staff while she stand at the side & listen. And then ask her staff whether i said correctly anot. But wahaa haa... her staff aso nt veri sure whether i was rite so in the end she ended up teaching the both of us. But lucikly, most of the things she asked i said correctly if nt let her look down. I know her intention was to see if i really know the procedures cos i'm new mah & she wans to make sure the stuffs taught to me by other ppl are correct. So nw after she test me, i really know the correct procedures by hard le. But there's still alot of things which i have to slowly pick up.

Alright! Tat's all for today. Tata! Tml gg to eileen's hotel for buffet dinner. Yummy~

~*~ Trio Shopping @ Orchard ~*~

It's been a long time since the 3 of us went shopping on weekends. Love shopping on weekends cos we can have all the time in the world to shop & dun have to worry abt shops closing early. Did alot of walking & went to lotsa places today. Our first destination was Cineleisure & then went over to HMV, CLEO's having roadshow at HMV & there's this event where we wore big sunglasses & they capture polaroid pic of the 3 of us. Dun know got win anot but most likely won't win one lah. hehe.

After shopping at HMV, we walked all the way to far east plaza. On our way there, stopped by scotts coffeebean for some coffee, sat down, drank coffee & chit chat before continuing our journey to far east plaza. Shop at far east basement & then went all the way back to taka crystal jade for dinner. As usual the queue at crystal jade was veri long, luckily osim having roadshow so the 3 of us went to try the iDesire. Wah! Damn shiok man, so relaxing & damn ex as well.. almost $8k, if im super rich i sure buy.. wahaa! Saw one of our ex-classmate at the roadshow, i was so tempted to buy the Osim Refine but aso very ex. ~*~ Genuine or Fake Honey? ~*~

Yipee! Got my first pay ytd! Gave mum & dad $100 each. Wanna start planning hw i wan to manage my finance already, if not all my hard earned $ will be gone very soon. There's a few things on my list which i wanna buy or do:

1) Get a mp3 player (should i get i-pod or creative? erm.. still deciding)
2) Take up driving lesson
3) Buy insurance
4) Open another savings acct to save money
5) Save for another holiday trip (provided i can apply for leave)

.... so far these are all tat i can remember, tat's more to come.

Treated dear to dinner just nw cos i got my first pay ytd. Promised to treat him dinner. Had a simple dinner at the central downstairs, ordered sambal sting-ray, sweet & sour pork, stir-fry veggi & fried prawn fillet. Dinner was sooo much better than wat i ate for lunch this afternoon. As usual, went JP for lunch with my colleagues & then decided to try siam kitchen. My first time eating at Siam Kitchen & i would NEVER patronise them again. The food there SUCKS! I ordered Pineapple Fried Rice with Seafood, not only there were a few pathetic seafood, the seafood wasn't fresh at all. YUCKS!

Food: * (seafood not fresh)
Price: *** (economical, $5.90 for pineapple fried rice)
Service: * (poor service)
Overall: * (the whole place sucks)

Was blog-hopping & then came upon this blog entry which i wanna share with u all. Basically it teaches us hw to differentiate real honey from fake ones. After reading, i was so curious to find out so immediately went to try on the honey which i bought from superbee farm from sunshine coast. Although the label on the bottle states pure honey but im still curious to find out if 'honeycombs' would really appear. The first time i tried, no changes at all so i thought the honey i bought were fake ones. Then i tried again & this time round 'honeycombs' really appeared! Amazing! So interesting! Actually expected lah, how can the honey from the famous superbee farm be fake one?

Try this to see if ur honey is genuine honey:
Using a plastic spoon take some honey and pour into a bowl. Pour water into the bowl and swirl the bowl lightly, don't manually stir. And if it's real honey, 'honeycombs' will appear. But if the honey is fake then the honey will have no changes to it.

(Actually there's photo showing the honeycombs but i din upload it here cos it's not nice to take someone's pics & place it in my blog)

I think dear is neglecting me these days, we seldom meet up these days due to work commitments. When i knock off, dear is still working & when he reach home after work i'm already gg to bed. But we did make a pt to chat over the phone everyday but sometimes we will end up bickering. I wonder wat happen? And then his off days, he rather spend his time at home playing games rather than accompanying me. This sunday is his off day, i'll see wat he wans to do.

~*~ Long Weekend: Labour day ~*~

Had a super great weekend with dear.

30 April (Sat): Pre-employee checkup

Woke up at ard 8 plus on sat morning & then went to take a shower first before gg for pre-employee checkup. Had basic checkup like height & weight, urine & eyesight test. After the check-up, went JP for x-ray screening & then the check-up is complete. The doctor says i have got very low blood pressure & i need to eat more red meat, i dun take lamb & muton so it's only beef.

Went ntuc & bought alot of groceries back: honey baked ham, cheese & chicken cocktail, strawberries, a packet of tom yum soup base & some ingredients for tom yum soup. Din realised tat i actually bought alot of things. So heavy! After tat went KFC & long john silver to buy lunch for bro & myself & then hurried home cos the things i bought were too heavy. Reach home, had my lunch & then started cooking tom yum soup. Shiok man! It's hot yet spicy~ Very easy to cook, just need to add soup base & bring to boil before adding the other ingredients like seafood & etc. Yummy!

Later in the evening, met ji xiang & shiling at jp for dinner as well as to pass them the photo frame & chocolates we bought from gold coast. Ya.. only till nw then pass them the souvenirs cos shiling's bz with exams. Had dinner at food court & then showed them those gold coast pics which we developed. Looking at the pics brought back alot of fond memories~

When can i go holidays with dear again? I wanna go either Taiwan or Hong Kong at the end of this year! Jus came back from gold coast less 2 months ago & nw planning for another holiday. Abit crazy hor?hehe. Hong Kong sounds better since Disneyland would be opened by then, i wanna go disneyland, i wanna hug mickey & friends. Though went disneyland before but tat time when i went to japan's disneyland with my mum i was still small, alot of rides i nv play, din really explore ard aso..

01 May (Sun): A day at city square - JB

Dear & i spent our labour day in JB. Very long ago already make plans to go JB on this day le. Went to shop ard Kranji's this fashion first before taking bus 170 across the causeway. Bought a black long slevee shirt from this fashion.

It was raining heavily & there was long queue at the malaysia custom. Waited for abt 1/2 an hr before we finally crossed the custom. Coincidentally we bump into some familiar ppl while queuing at the custom. It was already 3:30pm after we got our passport stamped but luckily the rain also stopped le. Went straight to city square & the first thing we did was to find a place & have some food. Both of us were so hungry, dear ate dumpling noodles while i ate curry chicken with bread.

After filling our stomach, it was shopping time. Went to shop at each level of city square but nothing to buy. In the end only bought a pair of shoes @ RM35.90 Nothing to shop le so we took cab to Da Ma Hua Yuan for our dinner. Ji xiang & shiling recommended this place to us, the other time when we came into JB with them, they brought us to his hawker center for dinner. The cab fare to the hawker center was ex.. RM10, cos the taxi driver said it's public holiday tat's y charge RM2 extra. But we realised tat we kena cheated by him cos the return cab fare to causeway was only RM6. Damn uncle! But aniway.. only $2 Sg so nvm lah. hehe.

Ordered Cereal prawns, Buttered clayfish, baby kailan & hao jian. So full man, i din eat rice somemore. But we still finish all the food cos the cereal prawns & clayfish was yummy. All those yummy gd food for RM66, which is abt $14.40 sg. Still considered cheap lah since we ordered a couple of seafood dishes. After dinner, we took cab straight to causeway & then went home le. No jams at the malaysia & sg custom cos it was only 7 plus.

02 May (Mon): Shopping Spree @ Bugis

Kept dragging dear to go shopping with me at bugis today cos seiyu got 20% discount storewide & today is the last day already. Think both dear & i got pissed off with one another while shopping, i'm frustrated with the things he said & on the contrary he is also frustrated with the things i said. Haiz.. so ended up quarrel abit, damn angry with him, he's also angry with me so i asked him to go home himself first since he's nt happy with me & he really went off, even went to take train somemore. Idiot! But in the end, he realised tat he was in the wrong for gg off without me & then took train back to bugis again.

But actually, if i were him i will also go off lah, since the other party already say untill like tat. With my stubborn character i definately go off one, like me.. dear also very stubborn one, tat's y we always dun give in to each other one. Haiz.. like tat no gd, nobody wans to give in. Luckily he realised he was wrong to go off without me & came back to bugis if nt i will be hopping like mad. But i also mus admit i was in the wrong in the first place for showing him attitude. hehe. So after tat, we are one happy couple again.

Alright! That's hw we spent our long weekend together. Been sitting in front of the com typing this long entry for many hrs le. Tml have to go to work~ Starting to have blues already after enjoying for so many days. But this week's gg to be a short week.
