SO after all the preparation, planning and anticipation.
It's neither United Kingdom nor New Zealand. It's just Singapore, Singapore and Singapore.
BB was suppose to go on a impromptu 2 months overseas training this mon but then was last min cancelled. So close yet so far, just let a rare chance slip by. And my plans of gg over to meet him after his course for a holiday is also gone.

23/09/06 (Saturday) - Roller Blading
Learned and tried roller blading for the first time on sat.
All went well except for a couple of falls, luckily i had the guards on. Borrowed YF's blades & learning it from KR while BB and YF went for their weekly run. Had a gd 2 hours of balancing and blading with the help of KR.
Still not very stable but i feel that i'm doing quite well. Anyway, it's only my first attempt. I can and i will do better. Getting my own blades soon (if everything goes well).
Went home & then met up again later in the night for mahjong session. We are hooked on it. Getting the mahjong table was a good choice.
24/09/06 (Sunday) - More Mahjong Sessions!
Slept throught the whole morning & afternoon due to the late mahjong session the previous night.
Met KR & YF in the evening for dinner at ABC market, the renovations finally completed. Once again we ordered lotsa food and all was good, esp the satay and sambal stingray. Soon to be our next frequent eating place.
Went down to somerset to check out some boardgames from a shop which are the ones whom supplied the boardgames to minds. So it's relatively cheaper that the ones selling outside. Saw a couple of games which we might be getting soon.

It's been quite awhile since we have had board gaming session. So went down to minds cafe on friday night tog with the dutch students. Their first time there. Minds Cafe was fun as usual esp with the students ard. Unos, Citadels, Taboo & Pictionary. While at minds cafe, BB, YF & KR already started mahjong without me. Left at ard 12 plus and then cabbed home to join them for few hours of mahjong session.

Met up with BB after his camp training at somerset for lunch & some short shopping at Cineleisure & Heeren.
Tried Xin Wang HK Cafe @ Cineleisure for the first time. Food was ok but service was not that good. Besides the main courses, ordered their mango snow ice as well. Not very fantastic. Best to be shared among 4 person.
Went over to Heeren. Bought a pair of Levis jeans, a pouch & applied for their membership. Still have to pay abt $100 over after using the $50 birthday heeren vouchers from jo & lin.
Later in the night, the 4 close friends went for dinner tog. Couldn't join them cos BB was having basketball competition. We all shared to invest in a mahjong table as all were itching to play mahjong. So sat nite & sun evening was spent on mahjong sessions at my house. Mahjong to keep us occupied for the next couple of weeks.

All Smiles. Ytd was one of those nights i truly enjoyed dinner with the colleagues. After dinner, went up to the sky garden of esplanade. My first time there. Nice view of the singapore skyline. Chit-chatted on alot of things & continue with our picture-taking session. Nice to just sit there to relax & talk abt everything from work to life to holidays to the attachment students.
Insisted on having dinner at Ichiban Boshi Esplanade due to last week's failed attempt to have a satisfying sushi dinner. Waited quite awhile for seats cos we din made any reservations beforehand but all the wait was worthwhile. Cos we had a good time & dinner was really great.
It's Cha Cha Cha Time!
The amount of sushi we ordered, 19 plates. To be exact it should be 23 plates cos there are a few more on the table. 19 just make the perfect height as our tripod stand for taking the above photos. And they were very well taken.
We took amazingly lotsa photos ytd nite. And i need to get a bigger memory stick for my hp, running out of memory space to keep my photos.

10/09/06 (Sunday) - Short Fishing Trip
Met up in the morning for fishing at Lim Chu Kang jetty. The guys set up their fishing stuffs and in less than half an hour it started pouring heavily. Packed up quickly & ran back into the car. So in the end, our very first fishing trip failed.
Ironically, on our way out, it's all sunny & clear blue skies.
Went over to JX house to change & wash-up before gg out to boon lay market for lunch followed by movie - Littleman at jurong point. Movie was very funny, had a very good laugh.

09/09/06 (Saturday) - Workout!Went down to East Coast Park again on sat for our weekly sports activities. Parked at fort road. BB, YF & i ran all the way from fort road to the first bicycle kiosk next to macdonalds while KR bladed there. An accomplishment for me! Wohoo!The distance we covered was abt 2km, havent ran for such distance for years. Kept pushing myself to finish the run without stopping at all. Am so happy with myself. We changed to cycling after reaching the bicycle kiosk while YF changed into her blades. Cycled to SRCC & back, returned our double bicycle & then had a hard time dragging our feets back to the car. And it was only then that we came to realise the distance we ran was actually quite far.Later in the night i was still telling the rest that i feel like doing another run again. It feels good esp when you tried your best to accomplish something.Changed & then headed off to thomson for a well deserved crabbie dinner. Ordered 2 big chilli crabs which was just nice for the 4 of us. Damn shiok! JX & SL couldn't join us so we took pics to tempt them. haha.

Like what we did for the previous months, yesterday we had a September birthday celebrations at our office hotspot. The rest were out for meeting so it's only the few of us. After work was sushi dinner which was sorta a bday dinner for the bday boy. Wanted to go to Ichiban Boshi at esplanade but thought we should give other sushi outlets a try. So we went to Genki Sushi at Marina Square. Our first time there and the sushi there sucks big time. Not only was there limited variety of sushi, the sushi was of no standard at all and so overly-priced. The same sushis kept going round and round the conveyor belt. And like what IS says there's always a first and last to everything. And yes! We won't be gg back there for sushi again. Never again. There are so many better sushi outlets out there.
We din enjoyed the food at all but we had a fairly good time taking photos there. Especially when there was no one there who could help us take a gd photo. So we ended up using my hp camera self timer & stacking up wallets and whatever stuffs we could find on the table to act as a tripod for my hp. Haha.

Since we ended dinner quite early so we had abit of time for shopping. And lisze & i each got a top from zara. Asking the rest out for another sushi session next week cos the sushi dinner last night din satisfy my sushi craving at all.

On Wednesday.
Finally met up with eileen for dinner at Pepper Lunch & for some window-shopping. Din get to shop much as most of the shops were closing. But it was nice to meet up to update about each other's life.
On Thursday.
After work, went down to westmall for some shopping. Bumped into juliana at osmose. And i bought 4 working tops from osmose at one shot. That's what happen when i haven't been out for shopping for awhile.
Happy with the purchase cos i've been wanting to get working clothes for a long time.

I dont know why. Australia Zoo - Always Home of The Crocodile Hunter
But the news of Steve Irwin's death hit me quite abit when i heard it through my colleagues. Life is fragile, what's gone will be gone forever. Memories are the only ones that stays.

02/09/06 (Saturday) - Sunburned!
Forgot to put on sun block as i was rushing out of the house to meet BB at Bedok for some sat sports activities at ECP. And i ended up getting quite a bad tan as we were there ard 12 plus. Met YF, KR and a friend of theirs at ECP.
We all did different activities all tog. YF and BB went for some intense jogging, KR and adeline went for blading and i went for cycling. The furthest i cycled to in the past was somewhere near the yatch club and on sat we went further down all the way to safra resort and country club.
The furthest i've cycled to so far. Tiring. Tiring.
03/09/06 (Sunday) - Comex. Impromptu BBQ @ West Coast
Came home with lotsa gadgets and a big hole burned in the pocket after visiting Comex on sun. Routers, canon ixus camera, 1 GB flash drive and memory stick for PSP are the stuffs we came home with and BB spent close to $800.
And Yes! Finally got the memory stick for my PSP. Lotsa ppl and cars at expo. As expected, had a hard time looking for parking lot.
Went over to KR's sis place at Holland V to look after his sis's 5 months old baby for an hour or so as the maid is alone with the baby. Baby's so cute. Coincidentally, met ying at holland v. So qiao! BB saw her when she came down from the taxi. Singapore is just so small.
Very impromtu decision to have a BBQ session at west coast park. So went to get some food stuffs at holland v's cold storage & went down to west coast to meet up with JX & SL. Bought too much food so we played games to finish up the food.
Managed to finish most of it. And ECP again this weekend to keep fit, our deal in having a healthy lifestyle.
